Kotak Mahindra Life Insurance Company Limited (Kotak Life) reinforced its commitment to Tamil Nadu’s health care by deploying seven new Mobile Medical Vans (MMV). This strategic initiative aims to enhance primary healthcare services across the state.

Under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, Kotak Life in collaboration with Smile Foundation will deploy three MMVs in Chennai and two MMVs each in Thoothukudi and Virudhunagar. These MMVs will bring healthcare services to peoples doorsteps, aiding in early identification of health issues. As a part of the initiative, Kotak Life will bear operational expenses, provide medical supplies and ensure the efficient functioning of the MMVs.

Mahesh Balasubramanian, Managing Director, Kotak Mahindra Life Insurance Company Limited said, “Our goal is to make quality healthcare accessible to everyone and this initiative aligns perfectly with our core values of care and service. It aims to make healthcare facilities accessible to underserved sections of society. The initiative contributes to the betterment of national health and supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals for Good Health and Well-Being.”

As a part of its corporate social responsibility commitment, Kotak Life for the current financial year has allocated more than a third of total CSR budget to projects in the state of Tamil Nadu. These initiatives primarily concentrate on delivering primary healthcare through MMVs and eye care through eye screening camps. Furthermore, Kotak Life has extended support to hospitals by providing essential medical equipment for eye care and kidney care.
