Producers’ delight Karthi working round the clock for three biggies

Being a thorough professional, the immensely talented Karthi is working round the clock to complete three of his biggies. The talkie portions of the actor’s 25th film Japan were wrapped recently. Produced by SR Prabu and SR Prakash Babu’s Dream Warrior Pictures, multiple award-winning filmmaker Raju Murugan is helming the landmark film of Karthi while India’s leading lensman Ravi Varman is cranking the camera.

Karthi is also busy shooting for coming-of-age director Nalan Kumaraswamy’s (Soodhu Kavvum , Kadhalum Kadanthu Pogum) upcoming yet-untitled film with KE Gnanavel Raja’s Studio Green. In August, Karthi will be completely immersed in Nalan’s film and then, he will move to the sets of Japan for the last song shoot that filmed for ten days. GV Prakash is composing the music for Japan, and a multi-crore worth set is being erected for this grandiose number.

Post the song shoot, Karthi is planning to wrap up the shoot of Nalan’s film by October. After wrapping up these two biggies, the Kaithi actor will shift his focus to his 27th film director Prem Kumar of 96’s fame in November. Arvind Swamy has been roped in to play an important role in #Karthi27 while veteran PC Sreeram will handle the cinematography. Suriya and Jyotika’s 2D Entertainment is bankrolling #Karthi27

2022 was an incredible year for Karthi with three back-to-back blockbusters— PS1, Viruman, and Sardar, he has already started 2023 in style with Ponniyin Selvan 2 and Japan is gearing up for a grand Diwali release. As Karthi is continuously working and churning out multiple films in a calendar year, the trade and producers are delighted and reaping profits even before the shoot by inking deals for lucrative offers from top OTT players, satellite channels, music labels, and prominent distributors.

Industry murmurs that today’s Karthi’s films have a solid potential to attract nearly 150 crores pre-release business.
