Indo-Australian Association honoured Meritorious Service Award 2023 to His Highness Nawab Mohammed Abdul Ali presented by Miss Sara Kirliew & Susan Verghese
Australia or India, who have contributed exemplary work towards building relations between the two countries.
 This year, the Nawab of Arcot was considered the worthy recipient for his long-time association to improve communal peace and harmony and patronage of international relations, and he is being bestowed the IAA Award for Meritorious Service at the Amir Mahal on April 24th, 2023 in the presence of the Australian Consul General to South India, Miss Sara Kirliew.
Many Consuls and honorary Consul Generals have been invited for the event followed by His Highness Nawab of Arcot and the Consul General both greeted with a Ponnadai and flowers.
The welcome address was delivered by Dr Susan Verghese, the President of the Indo Australian Association followed by the Consul General’s speech, reading of the Citation by the Secretary of the Association, Miss Leena Ashok .
The citation and award given to his Highness the Nawab of Arcot followed by his acceptance speech and the vote of thanks given by Miss Bernadine Joseph followed by the National anthems of both the countries.
 It concluded with an entertaining musical evening led by the very talented Nawabzada, Mohammad Asif Ali .This is a much awaited event in the social calendar of the Indo Australian Association.
