XVIII Chennai District Masters Athletic Championship
The Chennai District Masters Athletic Association is conducting the XVIII Chennai District Masters Athletic Championship on 18th and 19th December 2021 at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium from 6.30am to 5.30pm.
This meet is for all men and women above the age of 35 years. The senior most athlete in men is 90+ and woman is 85+. Most of the Chennai athletes have repesented Tamil Nadu in Nationals, Asian Meets and World Meets.
The Chennai District Masters Athletic Association President Mr. M. Shenbagamoorthi, Mrs. Sasikala (Treasurer) invited the athletes and honoured the Cheif Guests.
The grouping for competition is done as 35 to 39yrs, 40 to 44yrs, 45 to 49yrs and so on upto 95+ yrs (every 5 yrs is one age group).
The Championship was inaugurated by Dr. R. Anand Kumar, IAS, MEMBER SECRETARY, Sports Development Authority of Tamil Nadu.
