JITO Ahimsa Marathon Run for spreading Peace & Non-Violence more than one and half Lakh people participated at 65 Locations in India and International on same day.
The JITO Ahimsa Run was held on April 2nd, 2023, at Olcott Memorial Higher Secondary School Besant Nagar, Chennai.
 In this AHIMSA Marathon Run 5000+ runners gathered at the chennai venue at 5:30 AM to be a part of this historic run and spread the message of Peace and non-violence.
The Ahimsa Run was organized in three categories of 3km, 5km, and 10km at 65 cities in India and 10 international locations on the same day at the same time, therefore entering the guess book of world records for the greatest number of pledges for a peace run.
The flag-offs for 10K, 5K and 3K were done by the guest of honour Thiru. Mano. Thangarajan, Mr Mahesh Aggarwal IPS (ADGP), Mine and petroleum minister of Rajasthan Promad bhaya jain along with gold medal winner power lifter Aarthi Arun and sponsors/committee members respectively.
The run course wound through the city’s most iconic neighbourhoods and landmarks, providing a scenic and challenging route for the runners. Along the way, participants were cheered on by crowds of spectators, volunteers, and fellow runners, all united in their support for this incredible event.

IT Minister Mr.Mano Thangaraj also participated in the Marathon along with his daughter Chinju in 10 km Distance Run.
The winners were awarded by our honoured chief guest Thiru. Mano Thangaraj Minister of Information Technology of Tamil Nadu.
The Ahimsa Run was more than just a mere competition – it was a celebration of the oneness of the runners and supporters gathered to voice out that every living being is entitled to love, respect and peace. Throughout the event, runners and spectators alike were treated to a variety of family-friendly activities, Zumba, live music, and a sumptuous breakfast.
The Chennai JITO AHIMSA RUN was organized by the JITO Ladies Wing Chennai; headed by Shivani Jain (Chairperson), Sapna Betala (Chief secretary), Mr Ramesh Dugar (JITO Chennai Chapter Chairman), Mr Nehal Shah (JITO Chennai Chapter Chief Secretary), Mr Naresh Jain (Ladies Wing Convenor), Surabhi Daga (Convener of the project), Neetu Kochar and Ankita Doshi (Co-Convenor of the project), Sonali Jain (Project Head) and Committee members Heena Jain and Brinda Shah.
Mr Abhaya Srisrimal (Apex President) and Mr Prakash Sethiya (TNAPTS Zone Chairman) have supported to great extent taking the Chennai Ahimsa Run to new heights.
Overall, the JITO Ahimsa Run was a huge success, bringing together runners from all walks of life to spread the message of peace and non-violence. It was a testament that despite the diversity, we are all one and hope for a world of concord and harmony.
