In Chennai, FIBA Asia Cup 2025 Qualifiers (Window 2) will be held on November 22 & 25 under the Chairmanship of Basketball Federation of India President Aadhav Arjuna.
In Chennai Taj Club House held monumental event in Tamil Nadu’s sporting history! For the first time, our state will host an international men’s basketball tournament: the FIBA Asia Cup 2025 Qualifiers (Window 2). This prestigious event will take place at the renowned Nehru Indoor Stadium in Chennai on November 22nd and 25th, 2024.
This tournament will showcase 24 national teams from across Asia, all competing for a place in Asia’s premier men’s basketball championship. Bringing this event to Chennai represents a significant leap forward in the growth and development of basketball in our region and highlights Tamil Nadu’s commitment to promoting international sports.
The India Senior Men’s Basketball Team will go head-to-head against Qatar on November 22nd and Kazakhstan on November 25th. As part of their rigorous preparation, our national team has been training in Chennai since June and recently completed two exposure trips to Dubai, where they played against top-tier clubs, gaining valuable experience for these crucial matches. Fans can expect intense competition and thrilling moments as our players face off against some of the best teams in Asia.
We warmly welcome all basketball enthusiasts, including technical officials, coaches, veteran players, and fans from across Tamil Nadu, to join us for this historic event.
