National Conference on LMIN – 2019 at Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research, Kalpakkam
National Conference on Light Matter Interactions at Nanoscale (LMIN – 2019) was organized at Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research (IGCAR), Kalpakkam during July 15-17, 2019, with the support from BRNS and MRSI.
The conference focused on plasmonic, photonic nanomaterials and their applications to materials sciences including chemical and biological sciences. The study of material properties of individual nanopaticles and their engineering application was the prime objective of the conference. The conference was attended by 120 leading scientists and students from all over India from various academic institutes like IITs, IISERs, national laboratories and DAE institutes, including participants from North East.
The conference was inaugurated by the Dr. A. K. Bhaduri, Director IGCAR with welcome address by Dr. G. Amarendra, Director, MSG. Chief Guest Prof. Chandrabhas Narayana, Dean, R&D, JNCASR, Bangalore delivered plenary lecture on “Tailoring the nanostructures for trace detection and drug discovery”. The scientific deliberations were conducted in nine technical sessions with invited, oral and poster presentations. The conference presented an opportunity for young researchers to interact with leading experts in the field of nanoscience and technology.
