Mercure Hyderabad KCP hosts the ‘Soak & Mix Ceremony’ to celebrate the festival season
Hyderabad: Mercure Hyderabad KCP celebrated its annual fruit-‘Soak & Mix’ ceremony with great pride recently to usher in the festive season. Cake Mixing is traditionally done to celebrate the advent of Christmas and the start of winter festivities with good tidings, happiness and lots of Christmas treats. Spreading the cheer of the festivities, Guests and associates donned chef aprons and hats and joined right in for the mixing.
A colourful table was set with a huge tray filled of fruit which includes red cherries, tutti-frutti, black currants, dates, almonds, cashew nuts, raisins dried apricots & figs along with an array of aromatic Indian spices like cinnamon powder, cloves powder, cardamom powder, dry ginger powder, nutmeg powder, and star anise. A selection of ‘spirit of the season’ in bottles – wine, rum, brandy and whiskey etc were poured in abundance to soak the fruit in. General Manager Soumitra Pahari, Executive Chef Dipak Adhikari along with the guests kickstarted the ceremony by pouring in wine and mixing the ingredients that will go into this year’s Mercure Hyderabad KCP Christmas cakes.
