Hyundai Motor India Foundation Launches ‘Safe Move Inter-School Road Safety Quiz Competition’
– 300 Schools in Chennai to participate in Innovative Quiz Competition focusing on the importance of Road Safety
Chennai, November 27, 2019: Hyundai Motor India Foundation (HMIF) the CSR arm of Hyundai Motor India (HMIL), the country’s first smart mobility solutions provider and the largest exporter since inception, announced the launch of innovative ‘Safe Move Inter-School Road Safety Quiz Competition’ today, in the esteemed presence of Hon’ble. Minister for School Education Thiru K A Sengottaiyan (Govt. of Tamil Nadu).
The Road Safety Quiz Competition is aimed to educate students from across 300 schools in Chennai on safe driving practices, road safety rules and other essential measures to be taken while travelling on roads. As a part of today’s program, a bilingual safety booklet highlighting the best practices and approach to be followed at home, roads and factory was handed over to all the students. The quiz competition will follow a knock-out format. The winners will be awarded trophies and cash prizes.
Last year, conducting a similar activity HMIF reached out to over 2 lakh school students from 500 schools in the city and created awareness on this subject. The initiative was well-received and hugely appreciated by students, parents and educators alike.
