Pujo is performed here in a homely atmosphere with all rituals strictly under supervision of priests, who come every year all the way from West Bengal along with Dhaki. Bhog, cultural programmes, various competitions, dance with the rhythm of Dhak, sindurkhela are some of the other attractions of the Pujo.It may not have the magnitude of Kolkata’s Pujo, where huge pandals, lighting and whole night pandal hopping are very common, but Dutgotsav in Kalpakkam is no less in terms of homely atmosphere, togetherness, brotherhood and unity.
