Chennai, 8th February 2017: The 13th International congress of Cleft Lip, Palate and Craniofacial Anomalies is being held at Radisson Blu Resort, Temple Bay, Mahabalipuram, from 8th Feb – 11th Feb, 2017 in Chennai. In India are being more affordable, friendly and an exotic destination, we have more than 100 professionals from more than 75 countries being participated in the Cleft 2017. This is once if life time event being in organized in India like Olympics.

The International Congress Cleft 2017 will be inaugurated by Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev, Isha Foundation. Mr.Charles B.Wang, Co-Founder and Chairman, Smile train will be the guest of honor.

The 13th International congress will impact the advancement of technology has really been a boon in improving the quality of care provided to individuals with cleft and craniofacial anomalies for the children and society. It is hosted by Southern Regional Chapter of Indian Society of Cleft Lip, Palate & Craniofacial Anomalies, Tamilnadu.

Dr. Jyotsna Murthy, Organising Chairperson said, This is the biggest and largest event happening across the world bringing all professionals related to cleft and craniofacial field together once in every 4 years. After two decades the congress is back to Asia-Pacific region. With improving medical care and demand of advanced technology, this congress will provide excellent platform for all voices involved in cleft care. And, keeping this in mind, the theme of this congress has been drafted as Think, Treat and Teach

This premiere event will create an international forum for the global cleft community including service providers, researchers, academicians, NGOs, charitable institutes, parents associations and scientists to deliberate on important issues. The Asian region has the highest number of cleft and craniofacial children and is the most dynamic region for growth and development of health care. This fact adds greater importance to the 13th Cleft Congress being midst of this most dynamic phase of scientific advancement and extending the medical care to the deserving children.

Congress will deliberate on all aspect of these birth defects from causes, prevention, providing treatment, NGOs reaching to different corner of the world. The large NGOs who supports cleft care across the world like Smile Train, Operation Smile, Transforming Faces Worldwide will be present during the congress. This will provide opportunities to interact with people across the world to find out the appropriate interventions needed in particular corner of world.
