Thalapathy 67: Makers officially announce Sanjay Dutt playing a part in the Vijay, Lokesh Kanagaraj film

The Bollywood star Sanjay Dutt is now set to play the villain in Thalapathy 67, his maiden Tamil film. The biggie features Vijay in the lead and is being directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. The film is touted to be an actioner. It marks the Kollywood star’s second collaboration with Lokesh after Master. This film marks their third collaboration for Seven Screen Studio with Vijay. The shooting of the film commenced on January 2 and is currently progressing at a brisk pace in Tamil Nadu.

The film will have music composed by Anirudh Ravichander. Cinematographer Manoj Paramahamsa, editor Philomin Raj, stunt choreographer Anbariv, dance choreographer Dinesh and art director Sathees Kumar are part of the technical crew. Lokesh Kanagaraj, Rathna Kumar and Deeraj Vaidy will work on the dialogues on the film.

The social media page of Seven Screen Studio, the production house, tweeted, “We feel esteemed to welcome @duttsanjay sir to Tamil Cinema and we are happy to announce that he is a part of #Thalapathy67 (sic).” Fans are overjoyed with the presence of the Bollywood veteran in the film and are curious to know about his role in it.

Interestingly, the social media post also has a picture of Sanjay in which his reaction on being part of the movie has been added. He is quoted, “When I heard the one liner of Thalapathy 67, I knew in that exact moment I had to be a part of this film and I’m thrilled to start this journey (sic).”

The talented actress Priya Anand is also said been confirmed to be a part of the ‘Thalapathy 67’ . ‘Thalapathy 67’ is reported to be a Pan-Indian action drama, Vijay will be seen as a gangster and the film is expected to be launched with a teaser soon.

Mean while, Actor Vijay’s fans are in celebration with the official announcement of the film, which is now titled as Thalapathy 67. A picture of Lokesh Kanagaraj with Vijay is going viral on social media.
