‘Women’s Indian Chamber of Commerce & Industry’ proudly launches another council in the state – ‘Tamil Nadu Social Service Council’
Chennai, Tamil Nadu – August 10, 2020 – Women’s Indian Chamber of Commerce & Industry (WICCI) launches its another prestigious council, ‘Tamil Nadu Social Service Council” with an aim to contribute to societal goals of a philanthropic, activist, or charitable nature by engaging in ethically-oriented support.
Ms. Varsha Aswani, State President of WICCI – Tamil Nadu Social Service Council expressed her gratitude & mentioned, “Social responsibility is a duty every individual needs to perform to maintain a balance between the economy and the ecosystems. It would be my honour to take up this responsibility to contribute in the well-being of all our soul sisters & society. I am so grateful to the Visionary, Founder, Global Chair Lady of the Women Economic Forum – WEF and Founder President of WICCI, Dr. Harbeen Arora, for the trust bestowed on me to act in this capacity. I, along with the State Vice President, Ms. Radhika Dhruv and our eminent Council Members, pledge to serve and spread awareness of action towards Humanitarian services.”
WICCI is a premier All-India National Women’s Chamber empowering women entrepreneurs and leaders in all walks of life through advocacy, pro-active representations to government, implementing projects for women via funds allocated by various government agencies and corporates, plus bringing awareness on all issues that concern women in their workplace. WICCI is an independent body while being associated with ALL.
The various Councils in over 200+ sectors will develop different areas of focus and specialization in order to mainstream women’s voices and uphold women’s interest in policy making at multiple levels: to help women get better incentives, improved access to finance and other measures that empower the ease of doing business and the competitiveness of Businesswomen, Entrepreneurs and Professional Women in all walks of life.
