Emotional horror thriller Yamakaathagi’s first look is the cynosure of all eyes in Tamil cinema

Among the plethora of tried-and-tested horror thriller films in Tamil cinema, the first-look poster of Yamakaathagi that was launched by the sensational performer Aishwarya Rajesh has grabbed the attention of many in the industry.  Netizens are already debating whether Yamakaathagi is a horror or spiritual film.

The makers strongly believe that Yamakathaagi will stand out from the rest of the horror movies and will send a unique message to the movie buffs.

Produced by Srinivasarao Jalakam and Co-produced by Ganapathi Reddy, Yamakaathagi will have a global release through Yeshwa Pictures. Debutant Peppin George has helmed the film featuring the talented Roopa Kodavayur of Uma Maheswara Ugra Roopasya and Mr. Pregnant fame in the lead. “Yamakaathagi is a rural based supernatural mystery thriller.Roopa has delivered a memorable performance in the film. Things that happen around the death of a young girl forms the crux of the story. We shot the entire film in Thanjavur and surrounding locales”, says director Peppin George.

The film also has award-winning actress Geetha Kailsam of Amaran fame and Blacksheep fame Narendra Prasath playing pivotal roles.

Sujith Sarang of Dhuruvangagl Pathinaaru, Kanam, and Bloody Beggar fame has handled the camera for the film, Sreejith Sarang takes care of the cuts and Sync Cinema, the sound designing company behind many films like Animal, Amaran, and Leo are also working hard to enhance the technical quotient of the film.

Yamakaathagi’s release date and other updates will be soon updated by the producers.
