Madras Anchorage Round Table 100 signed MOU with Kamatchi Hospital for100 Heart Surgeries for underprivileged under their flagship program Heartz 100 Little Hearts Big Smiles

Madras Anchorage Round Table 100 (‘MART 100’) had embarked on an ambitious community service project last year to undertake heart surgeries free of cost as part of its flagship initiative Heartz 100 launched in 2016 for infants to kids up to 15 years suffering from heart diseases. We successfully completed over 450 surgeries since the launch of Heartz 100.
This year Chairman Vipul Jain has committed that he would continue the good work and plan to complete minimum 100 surgeries in the current year. Madras Anchorage Round Table 100 has thereby tied up and partnered with Kamakshi Hospital to do the surgeries, the Memorandum of Understanding was signed between both parties on 02 Sept 2022 at Kamakshi Hospital. The MOU was signed in the presence of National President Tr Manish Lakhotia, RTI India, Area Chairman  Tr Vijayraghavendra, Area 2, Chairman Tr Vipul Jain, Secretary Tr Pravesh Jain, Convenors Tr Satish Mehta and Tr Rajesh Bohara and other members of Round Table 100.
Commenting on this, Dr Govindaraj, Chairman Managing Director, Dr. Kamakshi Memorial Hospitals said:
 “The impact of congenital heart diseases in India is enormous and the treatment of children suffering from heart ailments requires special equipment and expertise which generally is expensive. Major issues like lack of awareness, funds and hospital facilities are the reasons for majority of such children not surviving. Dr Kamakshi Memorial Hospitals have been already spearheading this program and have successfully helped more than 400 children in the past. Dr. Prem Sekar Rajasekaran has been playing a pivotal role in executing this program with Dr Kamakshi Memorial Hospital. Dr Kamakshi memorial hospitals has been going above the call of duty and has been always focused on helping the children from weaker section of the society.  With this initiative, we make sure socio-economic status is never a barrier when it comes to accessing quality healthcare. Dr. Kamakshi Memorial Hospital would be glad to help underprivileged children who so far were suffering from several heart diseases and our mission is to serve more in future by completely eliminating the lack of pediatric cardiac care accessibility to poor children with the support of Round Table India.”

The initiative aims to enhance the accessibility of cardio healthcare for children belonging to the weaker section of the society. This program is structured in such a way that it helps the children avail the treatment for all heart defects.  When we started this initiative, we never thought we could help many such children within this small period. Kamakshi hospital and our generous donors for the cause has made this possible through their various screening camps and providing the necessary support through their expert doctors and high-end medical care.
